Summer in Cincy
Memorial Day has been celebrated and Cincinnati has been Tasted, which means we have reached the start of the summer season in Cincy. But don’t let the city’s summer heat and humidity deter you from all that is going on in OTR. Below are a series of events taking place:
May 1-31st Bike Month
All across Cincinnati.
Get your bike out and ride!
June 4th – 10-11am Clip+Rip+Glue+Recycle
Park + Vine, 1202 Main Street
Bring a couple old magazines and start collaging.
June 6th- 7-8:30pm Queen City Bike
The Drinkery, 1150 Main Street
Come find out more about the proposed Wasson Way Project, which looks to convert unused railroad tracks into a 6.5 mile recreational trail.
Starting June 6th Over-the-Rhine Urban Kickball League
Cutter Playground
Join a team and get into kickball for the summer. The league begins next week and has games weekly through August.
May 31- June 11th Cincinnati Fringe Festival
Multiple venues
Enjoy performances by dancers, actors, musicians, poets, artists, singers, and more as the Know Theatre of Cincinnati holds its 8th annual Fringe fest. See the boundaries of art pushed across multiple venues in the OTR neighborhood.
June 22-24 Greening the Heartland 2011
Duke Energy Convention Center
Join thousands has Cincinnati hosts this year’s Greening the Heartland. Keynote speakers, work group sessions, and social events are all part of the conference looking to spread the knowledge of critical issues related to sustainable buildings and operations.
